The Meaning of Music?So today at lunch I was talking to my friends and one loved my Owl City shirt while the other didn't.
The one who didn't said that it's not real music and it's talking about pointless things.
And I've been mulling it over in my brain for a few hours, and I've come to a conclusion.
Anything with sound can be classified as music.
If something inspires you to make sound, it can be music.
It doesn't matter if it's Owl City, Kerli, Brokencyde, Blood On The Dance Floor (which I apologize for being bitchy about in my last journal. I was going way to far.), Black Tide, Bon Jovi, fuckin' anything.
It matters that it inspires you.
The sell-outs on the radio who are singing because they just want money and don't care about their music actually offend me to a certain extent.
But the artists who sing about something that inspires them, whether it's love, Jesus, sex, or going to the dentist, I believe in them. I may not necessarily like their music much, but I still agree with their music because th

Need a pixel artist! Also, I got a DD?!SO today I woke up and got the lovely surprise that one of my deviations was nominated for a DD! Can you imagine? It seems like for some reason this past week my art is getting more recognized. That's friggin' AMAZING! That means I'm finally getting better! I hope this makes a positive impact on my RL commissions!

I have a few questions if you don't mind...they're probably dumb questions but I feel I must ask them:

1. Can I submit an existing character of mine? He's a Shapeshifter and I believe shapeshifters are monsters too correct?
2. Can I submit art that was made for me by another artist as a character artwork?
3. prepare for really stupid question incoming...I really just want to submit my character who I've written an entire story for and hope to make him and his story into a comic/movie/game/animated series some day so I feel like this may help boost my chances. anyways the question is, should I submit my character, is there any risks involving copyright and such? would I still be able to create my story with my character without any issues? sorry if this sounds confusing.

and I think that about covers it. I'd love to submit my character but I want to be sure that my life's work (which I've put months and months into writing the story) is still going to be my life's work and safe for me to hopefully pursue my dreams which I hope come true.
