Preliminary : I am talking about private commission, which means there is no official contract. And...I am not an artist
First, a commission is a contract, a business transaction (for private or public purposes). This must never be forgotten. An artist is paid to do a work. The message that follows is seen from a purely factual point of view, supplier-customer relationship (aargh, but where is the imagination, the art in all of this?

Notes:
• One character only. If you want more than one character you have to make separate orders.
• You can choose between colored, flat colored, or linework.
• By default they won't include background and will remain a transparent .png file unless you specify a color or white bg instead.
• A high-resolution file will be exchanged via sta.sh. Please do not share/upload this file anywhere. You can do so with the preview version only.

welcome to vol.3
this pic was drawn for a friend for his birthday. I personally never played Zeno saga, i think this was drawn in 2001 or so.
I remember that this pic was not done at home, but during lunch hour at my old work.
I was not particularly a fan of KOSMOS but the friend was. I drew this with reference from the art book of zeno saga that another friend
gave me. so all the elements are correct to reference except the scythe.
it would be obvious that I was into art-neavou back then, with the apparent evidence in the hair.
this pic was done in photoshop, with all the smooth blending. I might have started the file in open canvas, which was the case for most of the art

I used to hang out at the Embarcadero branch of EB (Electronic boutique), now known as GameStop. i worked closed by so I usually go there before and
after work. met a few friends who work there and also school friends who went there to hang out just like

back in 2004, i was working in an architectural company, just being the admin boy. being a professional artist was still just a dream, I was never shy to show off my art to people, my friends, my coworkers, my teachers. anybody. but somehow i felt weird coming up here and show it off to people on the internet, i guess i was super afraid people might steal them.

Many people has asked me about the rationale behind my nickname - Artgerm in many occasions. To me it is more than just a nick, it is actually my mission statement in my art journey, which I would like to see people get "infected" by my works and inspire them to create art. I've been drawing for the past 20 years, in which 16 years in digital medium. Art has already been part of my life long time ago - it is my passion, my profession and my life. Although majority of my time has been devoted to the commercial projects and my family and leave me very little time to impart my art knowledge to others outside of my studio, my mission statement has never and will never change.

As a result, I've decided to setup a deviantArt chatroom recently called Artgermination for all digital art discussions, which I put in a good amount of my time daily to interact with other dA members, sharing with them my journey in art and conduct art streaming sessions for the members and the regulars. Many great artists hang out there regularly to inspire each other and it has become a little home for them. I remember there was once a member asked me if i found satisfaction in sharing my art knowledge with others, I told him that I found more than just satisfaction, I found PURPOSE.

Therefore I would like to invite you to my humble house of digital art within this massive community. I am sure you will have a great time here.
