This image is used as the theme image of an upcoming horror magic show for a church's evangelistic event.

This is my first collaboration work with

during his internship at my agency. I asked him to visualize a haunted mansion for me so that i can paint a spectre in the foreground. The process was fun and Kai did a wonderful job in creating the spooky atsomsphere.

Background done in PS (Kai's prefered program), Spectre done in Painter (my prefered program).

My wonderful and nutty thoughts on this piece:

1) Both of you have used some amazing realistic texture in this piece, making it semmes like a photograph that has maybe been blurred, maybe becuase its on the crappy photo paper that smudges when you touch it.

2) I love the house. Can you say "The Ripper, England" anyone?

3) The shadow play effect is brilliant, and so is the light as it wraps around the form naturally. Who was your inspiration for the monstrosity?

4) I expect a lot more of work like this from either of you, and you must belive me when I say you dont want a pissed of Melissa with her scythe, two dragons and a suicidal boyfriend with nothing to lose at your heels.

yeah! this is great

the title caught my attention (heh), but it's the details i love about this.
the film grain, the brush strokes on the main subject... the lighting is very atmospheric also.

the text style/font used is great too, although at first i felt it was a bit flat i think it fits in perfectly - very balanced.
