I will say that you're a good artist but he is holding the sword wrong... the correct way is the right hand pointer finger is in the first diamond notch below the tsuba (blade guard) and the placement of the secondary hand is found by the pinky finger being placed on the pommel then wrapping the other fingers around the handle.
Right now you are pretty much my favorite artist. I am currently an art student and I am in the market for a self inking sumi brush and was wondering what kind/brand you used to make this piece. Ive been doing a lot of research and I have heard mixed opionions. I figure the brand good enough for you is at least worth a look. thanks.
really good drawing here! I can see his zanshin clearly (a japanese word that is roughly translated as awareness - [link] its something thats hard to do without wanting to laugh, especially when you are doing it facing someone else in a training session). The way this has been drawn also suggests that the man has so much energy and power that is being kept under control with apparent ease. (the more i write about this the more I like it lol). His eyes seem a bit evil looking though, as theyre almost completely black. But is still a great drawing! fave
