Pepper Rockby `Artgerm

From my Pepper Project series.

This is the first time Pepper isn't in her red suit.

Done in Painter, freehand and photoshop, with photo reference for the pose and enviornment. Headgear modelled in Rhino and rendered in 3d max.

Appearing to be a nice photograph at first sight, Pepper Rock by *Artgerm turns out to be a stunningly realistic looking digital painting, depicting his adorable character Pepper from his 'different styles - unified subject' illustration project, wearing a sexy and elegant ensemble of a retro sci-fi designed swimsuit and matching skintight over-knee boots and headgear that simply speaks for itself.

*_* This looked real when I first saw it! But then it says digital art and I was like "Oh, it's just an amazing drawing." You are too good at details. This is so amazing!

Interesting, painters often attempt to simulate realistic appearance/life-like subject but I haven't seen too many hand-painting an image, even digitally, to give it the characteristics of a 3-D model. My only complaint is that the massive difference in contrast/definition between the 'model' and rock(s) to some degree takes away from the image, the sky however is blurred yet still seems to fit perfectly.
