Forget that noise. Stephanie Brown started off with her own identity, Spoiler, and then the mantle of BatGirl was bestowed to her by a "real Batgirl" known as Cassandra Cain. AND to add to this, the original Batgirl, Barbara Gordon offers her blessing to Brown to become Batgirl--- even goes as far to become sort of a partner/mentor to Brown.

What part of ANY of that is fake? Stephanie Brown is a real O.G.
